I get an error when sending email from Project EMC2 using my Gmail account.Gmail has special requirements for sending email from apps. Follow the steps below. 1. Turn on 2-Step Verification in your Google account. This step is required as Google only allows generating passwords for apps on accounts that have 2-Step Verification enabled. 2. Go to generate apps password (https://myaccount.google.com/apppasswords) and generate a password for your app. Google will prompt for an app name. Use "ProjectEMC2" or something similar to distinguish it from other apps. Create your password and use it when you send email from ProjectEMC2. Use your normal password in all other circumstances. Note - Other mail services do not have this requirement, and you should be able to use your normal email password.
