Frequently asked questions
Follow these steps to ensure all stakeholders have access to the project file and its related transaction data:
Click the Add button on the Portfolio page. Select your project management options, give the project a name, and click the Select Location button. Select a folder on your cloud drive (e.g., OneDrive, Google Drive, or Dropbox). This folder should not contain any other Project EMC2 project files.
The application will automatically create a subfolder called "Transactions" when required in the same location. This subfolder stores transaction files and should inherit the same sharing and synchronization permissions as the parent folder.
Share the top-level folder (the one you selected in step 1) with all project stakeholders using your cloud service’s sharing feature. Make sure to grant full access so stakeholders can view and update project data.
Ensure the folder is synchronized locally on your computer and instruct all collaborating stakeholders to do the same.
Use your cloud service’s desktop sync client (e.g., OneDrive app, Google Drive for desktop) to sync the shared folder to each device.
This guarantees offline access and automatic updates for both the project file and transaction data.
