1. In Google Chrome, click the More button (three dots) near the top right corner of the browser, then click Settings.

2. On the left, click Privacy and security, then click Site Settings.

3. Click Additional permissions.

4. Click Protocol Handlers, and make sure Sites can ask to become default handlers for protocols is toggled on.

5. Open Gmail in Chrome.

6. In the address bar, click the double-diamond Service Handler icon.

7. When prompted to Allow mail.google.com to open all email links?, select Allow, then click Done.

8. In Windows, select Start and type Default apps.

9. Select Default apps from the suggestions.

10. Under Email, if Chrome is not listed, select the app that is listed to be presented with a list of email apps installed on your computer, then select Chrome.

In Project EMC2, click the Send button on the Report Preview page. Chrome will start Gmail with a pre-populated subject, recipients, and further instructions in the body. Follow the instructions to complete and send the report.

These can be changed in the Windows Settings application.

For Windows 10:

1. Click the Start button and type "Settings."

2. Choose the Settings app from the Start menu.

3. Click "Region."

4. Choose your Regional Format.

5. Click the "Change data formats" link.

6. Select the "First day of the week," "Short date," and "Long date" formats.

7. Close the Settings app.

8. Restart Project EMC2.

For Windows 11:

1. Click the Start button and type "Settings."

2. Choose the Settings app from the Start menu.

3. Click "Time and Language."

4. Click "Language and Region."

5. Click "Regional Format."

6. Click the "Change Formats."

7. Select the "First day of the week," "Short date," and "Long date" formats.

8. Close the Settings app.

9. Restart Project EMC2.

If your pasted report loses color and text formatting when using the "New Outlook" email application, follow these steps:

1. On the Preview and Send page, click Send. Outlook should open a new email with the recipients, subject line, and body pre-populated with instructions.

2. Select the text in the body and click the Paste button in the email toolbar.

3. Click the "Paste anyway" button (DO NOT use CTRL+V).

This guidance is intended for project managers who create and manage project files using the desktop application. To ensure all stakeholders have access to the project file and its related transaction data, follow these steps when starting a new project:

1. Click the Add button on the Portfolio page. After selecting your project options, the Save As dialog box appears. Select a folder on your cloud drive (e.g., OneDrive, Google Drive, or Dropbox) and enter a name for your project file.

2. The application will automatically create a subfolder called "Transactions" in the same location. This subfolder stores transaction files and will inherit the same sharing and sync permissions as the parent folder.

3. Share the top-level folder (the one you selected in the Save As dialog) with all project stakeholders using your cloud service’s sharing feature. Make sure to grant edit access so collaborators can view and update project data.

4. Ensure the folder is synchronized locally and instruct all stakeholders to do the same.

   • Use your cloud service’s desktop sync client (e.g., OneDrive app, Google Drive for desktop) to sync the shared folder to each device.

   • This guarantees offline access and automatic updates for both the project file and transaction data.
